'Road racing team WHEELBASE ALTURA MGD headed to Belgium in the spring of 2014 to race the high-speed cobbled classic Kermesse races in preparation for the UK Premier Calendar racing.'
We spent two days in the Flanders region of Belgium - considered to be the homeland of road cycle racing - filming with the Wheelbase Altura MGD team producing this short diary piece of their experience racing in the ferocious environment of the classic Kermesse.
We spent six days in August filming the Itera Expedition Race with Dream Team TV. Itera is a five day none-stop, multi-sport, expedition where teams race on foot, bike and by kayak. The race is part of the Adventure Race World Series which sees an international field of teams take part. Itera was screened on Channel 4 in January and is set to be screened on a number of other network channels around the world.
South Africa wraps itself around the small but mountainous country of Lesotho - known as The Kingdom In The Sky, as its lowest point is still 1000m above sea level.
In recent years the mountains have begun to provide income for the nation by means of a huge hydroelectric dam scheme, the Lesotho Highlands Water Project, which is harnessing the benefits that high rainfall can yield.
The dams so far constructed have seen a growing road network introduced to more and more of the nation meaning that the face of Lesotho is changing forever.
The film follows a group of South African friends making their way through some of the most remote parts of the country, on roads that are supposed to exist but don't and others that aren't supposed to and do, trying to see this spectacular country before numerous valleys are permanently flooded.
The legend that is Shaun Palmer, once described by USA Today as possibly the 'World's Greatest Athlete' made a UK whistle-stop tour of only a select couple of venues in January 2015. One of the two venues for this exclusive appearance was Wheelbase Cycles in the Lake District, in partnership with Intense Cycles Shaun was headlined for a ride and Q and A session. We produced this short piece to promote the event, whilst also filming the Q and A session with Shaun hosted by Ed Oxley, which we'll post a link to soon
After hearing about the recent deaths of Andreas Fransson and Jean Phillipe Auclair in an avalanche in Chile, we would like to share a short piece of interview of Andreas from the 2013 Haglöfs Arctic Weekend from Riksgränsen, Sweden. Andreas’ enthusiasm was infectious and his attitude to being in the mountains was an inspiration.
The Zegama round of the Skyrunner World Series is one of the premier events of the Skyrunning calendar. In more than a decade of the race's history the event has become synonymous with the Basque region and people. We spoke to Inov-8 athlete Aritz Egea about Basque culture, the region and why the race sees spectators numbering thousands.

Saturday 7th June saw team Wheelbase Altura MGD take on one of the most fierce criterium races of the season. On the streets of central London around Smithfield Market a 20,000+ crowd gathered for an evening of racing culminating in the men's Elite event.
Round Two of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series in Barrow-In-Furness saw team Wheelbase Altura MGD racing in front of a local crowd, starting at the back of the field on such a tight circuit meant it was always going to be a tough night. This is the first in a number of videos that will be shot with the team as they progress through the racing season.
The new obstacle course race - Judgement Day was held for the first time recently near Salisbury and leading footwear brand Inov-8 were the official footwear sponsor. The video was commissioned to give an overview of the event, showing the sort of terrain the competitors took on and to us as a marketing tool for future races.
Cycling team Wheelbase Altura MGD operate at the highest level of UK domestic road racing, collectively they are a group of athletes brought together by a pure passion for road cycle racing. The promo was produced at the very start of the race season and is to be used in a number of marketing campaigns showing the strength of the team and the professionalism they embody.
2014 sees Swedish outdoor equipment brand celebrating their 100th year in production. As part of this Dave Mac Digital Media were commissioned to produce a short promo to provide an overview of Haglöfs' core beliefs for use primarily in outdoor stores; to make gear which really works and that functions during some of the most extreme and demanding activities undertaken by humans. The promo is geared towards the UK market and features short clips from two of the events that Haglöfs supports in the UK.
The Race Ultra Vest designed and developed by Inov-8 designer Matt Brown has just smashed the competition at the 2014 ISPO trade show bringing home a highly prized Gold Award. Weighing only 195g the pack is a true innovation. This video is the full product preview developed entirely by Dave Mac Digital Media which has been released to consumers while a 30 second edit was provided to the ISPO judges to support the product's competition entry.
Leading footwear manufacturer Inov-8 have recently celebrated their tenth year in business and to mark the occasion I produced this 7 minute short documentary with company founder and entrepreneur Wayne Edy. All footage except some of the manufacturing process was shot by myself, whilst Lee Procter of Inov-8 aided in the interview process.

Wainwright's Coast to Coast path is an iconic trail across England which crosses 3 national parks at around 190 miles in length. It is completed by thousands of walkers every year but rarely is it taken on as a run, never before has it been run by someone diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. James Thurlow took on this challenge to raise money for JDRF, he decided he would attempt to cross the country in under 4 days. No-one including James knew whether he would make it.
